I love the theatre. I was Fairly new to the collage so I usually wandered around here, just enjoying the silence. I wasn't supposed to be here, but it helps when sneaking in to be able to become animal. I chose a bee to fly in through the open window tonight. I don't like the bee's personality, though. It makes me want to eat honey. Meh. I'll live. I hadn't noticed that I wasn't alone. She hadn't noticed me either. I figured I would keep it that way.I just sat at the back, hiding in the shadows. I didn't have a clue what she was doing but she seemed to know. So I waited.

I groaned as I walked onto the stage, holding an extremely heavy box of props. "I have to go pick up the costumes," Rafe complained loudly as he followed me out from the wings. I rolled my eyes at him; his lie was fairly obvious. "I sent Nicole to get the costumes," I told him, my voice echoing throughout the auditoriam. I turned to face him and suddenly the box in my arms doubled in weight. Oh, no, sorry. The box hadn't gotten heavier. Another box had been dumped on top of it. "Rafe, don't you d--" But he had already given me his pile to carry and was heading back out, backstage. I mentally cursed him and turned, feeling the weight of the boxes shift to one side. Oh, no. No no no. Please, don't-- Too late. The boxes crashed to the floor, I grimaced as I fell to my knees and started to pick up their contents. "Perfect, that's just peachy," I muttered to myself, raising my eyebrows resentfully. Just my luck.

I don't think she notice me walking onto the stage. "Want some help?" I asked, not waiting for her answer as I bent over to pick up the stuff. When everything was tidy I looked up at her. She was... Pretty. "So", I asked her. "What are you doing here this fine day?"

I blinked, shocked, and snatched the box off him. "The theatre doesn't open until seven -- you're not supposed to be here," I rushed, letting my hair fall in front of my face as I placed the boxes to the side. Rafe, you dumbass, you were supposed to lock the door, not just let any old passerby stroll in. He still seemed to be waiting for an answer, so I clenched my teeth and grudgingly replied, "If you must know, I work here." Not the best place to work but hey. I'd always loved acting. The amount of time I wasted dreaming of being up on stage, of saying lines and hearing an audience applaud... I sighed, and met the boys eyes. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

"I'll just sneak back in when your gone." I was being perfectly serious, but I made it sound like I was joking. If she locked the door on her way out, I'd have no way in other than flying. And she might get a little suspicious about that if I was caught. " I noticed your friend ditched you. Rafe, I think you called him? Oh well. So can I not help you while I'm here?"

I bit my lip, glancing him up and down. I swear, if he got me fired there would be hell to pay... "Fine," I sighed, pulling my hair back into a loose ponytail. I took out some of the props; hand drawn pictures of wolves, actually, and handed them to him. "You can help me start hanging these onto the backdrop. And be careful with them," I warned him, "We can't get anymore copies, so these have to be kept in perfect order, understand? Just hang them in any position on the backdrop," I stood up, carrying half the posters and leaving the other half to him. "They're supposed to look like posters on a teenagers wall... What's your name?" I asked him curiously. If he asked, I wouldn't tell him mine. It was none of his business.

I took the posters and walked to the where she indicated. "I'm Aaron" I told her. "Aaron Stone". I got the feeling she was annoyed at me for being here, so I kept quiet. While we were hanging up the posters, I tried to think of something to say. Not much success. So we worked in silence for a couple more minutes. "So, why did you choose to work here? Like acting maybe? You look like you could make it on stage"

"That's an extremely personal question, Aaron Stone," I raised my eyebrows. "Ask me again when we know each other better." I pinned the last of the posters up and sighed. "You got a weird look about you, Aaron Stone," I commented, going to get the second box of props from the corner of the stage, and then got the ladder from the wings. "Hold this steady, will you?" I asked as I lent the ladder against the backdrop wall. I waited until he had a steady hold of the ladder before I started to climb up at it. "Will you hand me up those lights please?" I looked down at him, holding my hand out.

Weird look? Seriously, I'm a shapeshifter. I can look how I want. But I can't tell her that can I? Probably not, no. Not a chance. She would sent me to the government so they can run extremely painful tests involving a lot of needles. "Here you go, one set of lights, coming up." I handed her the lights. "What performance are you setting up for anyway?"

"It's called 'United', it's a love story," I shrugged. "Pretty funny script though. And the actors are good so," I made a face, sighing heavily, "I suppose it's worth seeing." You know. Whatever. Two nights from now was the dress rehearsal and I just knew that as soon as Declan, the director, got here,it was going to be hell. Everybody would be rushing, Declan would be screaming blue murder, and chances are Rafe was going to pass his responsibilities onto me. I brushed my hair behind my ear and glanced at Aaron. "Thanks, by the way," I smiled a little. "So what courses are you taking here?"

"No need to thank me, just trying to help. And I'm taking a music course." I'd always been a fan of music. 2What about you? What course are you taking?"

"I'm studying theatre," I shrugged. Would that not be obvious? I sighed as I finished with the lights. "There," i climbed back down the ladder, and turned only to find him directly behind me. Jeez, personal space dude. "Thank you for your help, Mr. Stone, but I can take it from here," I smiled politely, picking up the empty boxes I had brought in. "But you should probably leave before Adrian shows up."

"Alright, I'll leave, but I never asked you your name. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. Just, I'm new here, and i don't know anybody. Figured you might be able t show me the ropes of Embers University. Again, you don't have to, if you don't want to. Just a thought" I Hopped of the stage. "So how about it?"

"Nah that's okay," I smiled as I brushed some stage dust off my shoulder. Dammit, I had to fix stage light number 17 before it caught fire... Meh, I'd leave the boys to that. I shuffled the boxes under my arm and headed out to the wings, just as Adrian walked through the stage door. I smiled and kissed him lightly on the lips, before glancing back. That Aaron guy was gone. What, was he a disappearing act now? "You and Rafe have to fix number 17," I told him, heading through to the green room.

Rotten luck. The stage door opened and I was forced to hide under the seats. Perfect. To make matters worse, the guys that walked in, stayed for a while. By the time I had finally gotten out of there, it was close to evening. Great, I missed my classes. This was not a good day for me. I returned to my dorm to find John and Edward with the music full volume. One of these days, I am going to turn into a tiger and kill them. Make it look like I escaped from the zoo. Heh heh heh. Evil laugh, says it all. The next day was much better. Got invited to a party, socialized a bit, John and Edward didn't annoy me. It was sunny. I had been human long enough for my personality to become normal again, Basically I was having a good day. But all good things must come to an end.
