"She's a girl..." I hesitated. "It's kinda complicated. I don't even know what's going on with her if I'm being perfectly honest" I sighed. I hadn't spoken to her since that night. "Basically I'm a bit of a bitch. Okay a big bitch. And I went after this girl, Jamie. I'm gay by the way. Anyway, we went to a party together the other night and her drink got spiked and well... things happened. I can't remember it all 'cause I was really drunk. And usually one night stands don't bother cause I've had loads. I'm a bit of a whore. But it's different with Jamie. I feel bad" I took a deep breath. I hadn't even been talking of my own free will. It all just kinda came out. "Sorry" I muttered.

"No its fine."I assured her. "If it makes you feel any better you didn't come across as a bitch to me, or a whore. You genuinely seem like a decent person, well to me any ways." I smiled slightly. "If things are strange between you and Jamie you should just go up to her and apologise for taking advantage of her." That should put things right between them. I hope.

"You don't know me very well then" I laughed. "Yeah I guess. Anyway, lets get ready." I picked out a mini skirt of my own and one of Eliza's tops to wear that night. Three hours later we were leaving our dorm all dressed up for Eliza's first uni party. "You ready?" I asked her as we joined the line.

I laughed lightly at her comment as we began to get ready for the party. I pulled on my dress and found a pair of shoes to wear with it. They were black ankle boots with two buckles on the side. They only had a small heal but I didn't want them to out shine the dress, so they were perfect. I left my hair down, allowing the natural curls to fall into place. I wore simple make-up, just a small bit of black liquid eye liner on my upper eye lids, a thin coat of mascara and I painted my lips in my favorite red lip stick. I helped Frankie pick out a top to wear with her mini skirt and we left for the party. "You ready?" she asked as we joined the long line to enter the party. I took a deep breath. "As I'll ever be." I smiled.

[Grr...]
I remembered my first college party. Well... Actually I didn't. I was drunk before I got in. But I do remember waking up in some chicks apartment the next morning. With a massive hangover. I decided not to tell Eliza this story... We got into the party no problem. As soon as we got in I got us drinks. A breezer for her and a beer for me. I downed it in one go and got another one. I looked around. I couldn't see Jamie. I kinda hoped she would be here but at the same time I kinda knew she wouldn't. "Drink up" I said to Eliza who was eyeing the drink cautiously. "Just don't leave it down or let it out of your sight." Another spiked drink was something I didn't want to have to deal with.

After fifteen minutes of waiting in the line outside, we finally made it to the door. We flashed the green wristbands and were let in no problem. As soon as we got in, Frankie ran over to the make shift bar and got us both drinks, a breezer for me and some sort of beer for herself. I took the breezer cautiously, i never drink and i really didn’t want to start here. But glancing around, i noticed that ever other person at this party was throwing it back like there was no tomorrow. I looked over at Frankie as she downed it in one go and left to get another. Maybe the social drink was in order. A drink that was just for show. One that i would hold so that it looked like i was drinking something. So that i didn’t look as much of an outsider... Frankie came back a moment later and gave some cautionary advice, when one of my favourite songs came on. ’..lalalala, lalalala...’ Only girl in the world by Rhianna started to play through the speakers. “Oh I love this song!” I exclaimed, as she began to gulp down her second drink. “Let’s dance” I said pulling her on to the dance floor. Dancing was one of my favourite things to do, although I’d never tell a soul. It was my guilty little pleasure.

Ugh. I hated this song. But hey, the girl wanted to dance. I followed her onto the dance floor with a drink in each hand. I started dancing badly to the music, taking drinks from the bottles in my hands. Four songs later I was more than just tipsy. "I love this song" I screamed as Katy Perry's, I kissed a girl came on.

We danced through the song, singing along to the course. The song changed to P!nks Raise you glass, just has the first song finished. Each song merged into the next and we stayed on the dance floor dancing. Badly. Frankie would go to the bar to get another couple of drinks every time her bottle ran dry. I was still on my first drink when Frankie came back for the third time. “I love this song!” Frankie screamed to me when the song changed again and continued to dance to the music. Her movements seemed to get less and less graceful the more the music played. I was starting to worry about her.

I was starting to feel like me again. I couldn't think straight and there was no-one mushing up my mind. "let's go for a swim" I said, the thought just occurring to me. I pulled Eliza off the dance floor, got myself two more drinks and pulled her outside. When we were outside I began singing at the top of my voice. "Show me the way to go home, I'm tired and I wanna go to bed. I had a little drink about an hour ago and it's gone right to my head" I went into a fit of giggles. "This is so fun!" I stripped down to my underwear, which was a polka dotted bra and girl boxers, and jumped into the lake. "Come on Eliza" I shouted up at her, hearing my voice slur.

“Lets go for a swim!” Frankie exclaimed as a new song began to play. She grabbed my hand and pulled me from the dance floor over to the bar. She pushed through everyone and got herself another couple of drinks. She held the two bottles in one hand and headed outside, pulling my behind her. The cold air hit me in the face as we stepped outside, making me shiver. Frankie didn’t seem to notice the cold and began to sing a song I didn't recognize. “Show me the way home...” she sang as we reached the lake. “Frankie, I think you've had enough.” I said reaching for one of her bottles. “I'm tired and I wann..”she seemed not to notice me. “No seriously Frankie, you've had enough. Give it to me!” I pulled it from her hand as she finished her song. “This is so fun!” She giggled as she stripped down to her under garments. “Come on Eliza.” Her word slurred as she jumped into the water. “No its ok.” I tried to smile. “I'm not a good swimmer.” I lied. I was a strong swimmer, I just really didn't want to get into the water. It looked cold and dirty, and I was too self conscious to strip down to my under ware.

"Suit yourself" I shrugged, swimming over to the edge where I had left my drinks. I took a drink out of one of the bottles and put it back down. I swam out further into the middle. My head was dizzy and I knew I was drunk but I didn't care. I dived straight down into the water.

I stood cautiously by the side if the lake and watched as Frankie splashed around in the water. "suit yourself." she almost sang as she made her way through the water to the bottles standing upright by my feet. She began to drink from one of them and placed the bottle back beside my feet when she had finished. She started to swim out to the middle of the lake and dived under the water when she reached her destination. I took my shoes off, dipped my feet in the water and waited for Frankie to resurface. After about a minute of waiting for her blond hair to be visible over the water, I began to panic. Oh my God! I shouldn't have let her go swimming! Not after the amount she had to drink tonight! Crap! What if she's caught in something under the water? What if she's drowning? Oh God what do I do! Without realizing what I was dong, I quickly pulled my dress over my head, revealing my matching black bra and panties with a white lace trim, and dived into the water after her. I swam out to around the middle of the lake, to where I thought I saw her go under. I took a deep breath and dived under the water in search of her. The lake water was so dark that I couldn't see in front of me, making it difficult to find her under the water. I threw m arms out in front of me in an attempt of finding her under the cold dark water. After what had seemed an eternity of searching, I finally caught hold of Frankies arm. I pulled her closer to me and put my arm around her torso as I pulled her up over the waters surface. When we broke through the water I gasped for breath as air began to fill my lungs. I dragged Frankie to the edge of the lake, making sure her head was above water the entire way to the side of the lake. I pulled her out of the water and lay her on her back while I caught my breath. Thats when I noticed that Frankie wasn't breathing.

Suddenly I wasn't under the water anymore. I was in a house made of candy and a ginger bread man was there and we were eating gum drop buttons. Wait... This wasn't right... Ginger bread men loved their gum drop buttons! Suddenly I was back on campus, coughing and spluttering. Eliza was standing over me. "Oh hey there" I said when I had stopped. "Where did the Ginger bread man go?"

I put my ear next to Frankie's mouth, hoping that I was just mistaken, that she was still breathing, but I couldn't hear or feel anything. Oh no, no, no, no. I looked around me for help. Surely there was someone walking by that could help me. But there was no one in sight. No one to help. I had to give her CPR. It could be her only chance. I made sure that she was flat on her back, opened her airways and began to compress her chest. "One Mississippi. Two Mississippi. Three Mississippi." I counted the compressions. I leaned forward, pinched her nose and gave her three quick breaths. No response. Crap. I'd learned CPR in school a couple of years ago, but it was completely different to actually have to preform it in real life, in a life and death situation. I began compressing her chest again, trying to hold back my tears. "One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi." Followed by another three breaths. The occasional tear fell, staining my face, as I got no response for the second time. "Come on! Come on! Come on!" I willed her. I put more pressure on the next three compressions, and gave three longer breaths. This time there was a slight change. she began to stir, cough and splutter. "Oh hey there" She smiled tiredly. "Where did the Ginger bread man go?" I began to laugh with relief and threw my arms around her, allowing my silent tears to flow willfully. "Thank god you're ok." I whispered into her shoulder.

I was confused at to why she was hugging me and sobbing. Maybe she had a little too much to drink. What was I saying? You coul never have too much drink! "I'm fine babes" I said rubbing her back. "I'm a bit worried about you though." I began to wonder what had made ginger bread men come into my head. I remembered the dream, and then wat happened before it. "Eliza?" I whispered, feeling a lot less drunk. "What the fuck happened to me?"
